So I am completely new to sailing and I have absolutely no sailing experience. I did however live on my uncle's houseboat for a while and went cruising on my dads houseboat as well. Mine and my girlfriend's whole plan is to buy a sailboat next year, live on it for a couple of months, then go sail across the world. Yeah, that's what I want to do.
I joined this website for the wealth of knowledge available and to learn from people that are already living the dream I have!

Welcome aboard! Ask questions. . . read a lot here. . . check out some of the blogs such as windtraveler.blogspot.com or interviewwithacruiser.com etc. there are lots with tons of info and insights. . . hang out sift thru and see what applies to you, good luck!
