New member, heading back to boating

Hi folks. Just a belated into after joining the forums a couple weeks ago.

I'm a grad student in Los Angeles, now in the sailboat-shopping phase. I grew up on the water on the east coast, but haven't sailed much at all recently.

Hopefully I'll be living / learning on a 32-35' sailboat by this summer.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, but I've already received a warm reception in posts and the chat, so it's nice to be here.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Bet LA is a change from the East Coast! I suppose it depends where on the North / South line you where on, I would like to hear what differences you find..Good Luck..Dale

I'm in Los Angeles, LSS - many fewer bluewater and fishing boats here than in New England.. plus people here leave their boats in year round!
