ahoy!

Hi everyone. Been lurking around the forums for awhile now and just registered! I'm currently living in Manitou Springs, CO, but grew up in VA Beach, VA. Recently I've been feeling the pull of the water again, and for as long as I can remember I've dreamed of the liveaboard life. My lady and I want to achieve that dream in 36 months. We're researching, focusing on eliminating as much debt as possible then saving for a large down payment.

I've sailed a few times but clearly have much to learn. I'm anxious to continue the journey, and we are both excited to meet those who share our dream, and have achieved it! Please, post your experiences we can learn from!

Many thanks and fair winds....

Chuck

Welcome aboard. You might try my links page at Music on the Wind for a list of blogs where folks share their sailing experiences.

We bought our cruising boat while living in Colorado Springs and 3.5 years after purchase, we cut the docklines and started cruising.

Sounds like we have/had a similar plan - welcome!

Welcome to the asylum... You may find some members touchy right now, but don't worry. This place will settle down in a few months as the members return to cruising and their meds.
