First Sail

This past Sunday was able to go out with someone for my first sail. It was great. I was able to see what racing is all about as that day was a practice day. Now I am looking forward to getting out on my own boat for some sailing and racing. I have an Interlake class dinghy that I will be sailing here in S.E. Michigan. And yes the wife will be learning with me. The first couple of months will probably stick to the local lake where I have the boat moored. After that I may consider a bigger body of water.

Re: First Sail

Congratulations... you'll have more exciting trips, more setbacks, and more fun than you can possibly imagine. The sailing "bug" bites you, it's a chronic disorder that never lets you go. If you sail saltwater, the strong scent will linger with you, and the beach will never be quite the same again.
Example have a few of these, they'll stay with you for life.
