Single Sailor

Gidday-

I've recently returned from living in New Zealand and am located now in Rhode Island, but alas, I'm boatless. I've joined the Sailnet community with the hope of finding sailing opporunties aboard other's vessels.

I was Catlilina 320 owner for 10 years, put in many hours and am NZCG BoatMaster certified. And...I can cook!

Would love to find cruising (weekend) ops.

Great fun, smart, educated, cultured and love life aboard a sailboat.

Not looking to hook up - looking to build a community of friends with kindred spirits. 55+, in great shape with great energy!

Cheers,
Susan

Re: Single Sailor

Hi Susan,
I posted an ad very similar to what you may be looking for. I have a boat in need of a hand.I am sailing out of the Merrimac river in Mass. Not looking for love just good company and some help with the sail.I too am 56, though new to sailing, so you could be a great asset in knowledge as well as crew.If you are interested I have a O'Day 27 that needs a woman.s touch but very sea worthy.I have pics. of the boat but this site or my pics. are not suitable. So if you are interested give a shout and we can figure things out.I'm planning to sail this weekend.
Regards,
Todd

In Annapolis there is a group called singlesonsailboats. Not sure if there is a similar group in RI, but check out Newport.

Re: Single Sailor

Hi Susan,

I'm in Connecticut, a couple of hours drive from you. If you would like to do some sailing I can probably get you out. I mostly do night sailing to avoid the sun as much as possible, between Connecticut and Long Island on the Sound.

I have several boats. One of which I'm busy working on.
