Sailing again?

Used to sail with my friend and his dad in 78 and 79. Graduated High school and have not been sailing since. Just started getting the urge to try it again. maybe sail to Martha's Vineyard, or Jersey shore and leave the boat as a beach house for the summer. Maybe do some coastal cruising. Who knows? all sorts of questions, but I'll lurk for a while to see how many I can find answers to before i start bothering all you good folks with silly questions. Love to get my kids into it for some nice family adventures!! Wife is a little reluctant, but we'll see if i can convert her.

Sailing again?

Welcome! I was in a similar situation last year. Last sailed early 80's and wanted to get back in. Hooked up with a good sailing school in kemah tx and took 101, 103, and 104 in succession - very helpful in getting back into it. Also joined sailing club with discounts on rentals and tried out a range of boats from 27 to 39'. Eventually bought an older boat, did a bunch of repairs and have been enjoying with the family. Good luck.
