BVI charter with scuba

I am looking to charter in the BVI next summer for the first time. We are going with another couple and are going to bareboat charter a monohull 38-43 but we are all scuba divers and want to dive with our sailing adventure. Does anyone know if any of the charter companies offer scuba packages with their boats or link themselves with a dive shop?

thanks

Lots of options

There are many options in the virgin islands for scuba diving. I've found that it you pre book the scuba you don't get to explore the local options, instead of just the shops online.

Re: BVI charter with scuba

I would probably hook up with a local dive operation and just sail to them one day and go out with them. Unless specifically designed for dive equip, I'm trying to imagine where I would store 4 to 8 tanks aboard a charter that would be secure enough to be comfortable putting the rail in the water, while sailing.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Most of the charter companies do have partnerships with dive shops. There are other options such as rendezvous dives where they meet you with tanks and or equipment at your boat leaving you many more options.

Enjoy your trip.

Pick up a dive magazine and call some of the shops, some may deliver tanks and weights to your boat. Cooper Island, Peter Island and Virgin Gorda resorts will rent to you I'm sure. What fun!
