Newbie to sailing intro

Hello All,

Been a power boater my entire life (currently own a 48' Viking Sportfish), but finally took my first ride on a sailboat and now I'm hooked....Been wanting to sail my entire life, but work has always precluded me from pursuing lessons. That will now change.

I'm located in South Jersey and hope to begin taking lessons and hopefully hook up with a few member here who would be willing to take me out for a day sail or two so I can learn, learn, learn. Of course, lunch and refreshments will be on me, should that ever come to pass. I look forward to reading and learning from this site..

Welcome to SailNet and to sailing.

You probably won't have a problem finding someone to take you out. Quite a few members love introducing others to sailing.

Good luck!

Welcome aboard, you certainly picked a good forum to learn about sailing. What's the closest harbor to you?

Welcome aboard. Check out Welcome | Sailing Fortuitous -it's a great blog about the small boat sailing and cruising adventures of a couple of South Jerseyites. Fire off a line to them and they might be able to point you in the direction of some assistance.
