New Newbie

Permission to come aboard? I'm new, just joined yesterday and still searching out how this works. I am from the San Diego area and I'm also new to sailing. It has always been my dream but was never able to pursue it. Now that I am single and The kids have moved on, I am doing what I want to do. I have been in the water most of my life, either swimming, body surfing or just surfing. I have paddled/raced outrigger canoes and I have been on travel cruises. Traveled a lot and still wanting more. I am on here to find out more about sailing, learn all I can about it and a see where it goes and what destination it takes me. That's the short version. Glad to be aboard!
