Hello, Looking To Crew in Chicago

Hello,

Chicagoan here looking to crew in exchange for sailing lessons. Sail Chicago's rates for lessons are the cheapest I've seen so far but are totally booked up for the rest of the season. So I've already got my copy of the Annapolis Book of Seamanship and would be willing to supply some suds at least once a week to a potential mentor-captain. I'm north of 30, a fast learner, and available weekday afternoons through the early evening and on weekends for at least the rest of the summer. Am also free Friday mornings in the foreseeable future. I live off of Grand and Halsted so Monroe and Burnham Harbor are the closest to me but I'm not picky. If you'll have me I'll definitely trek up to Montrose or down to Jackson Park. PM me if you're up to meet.

P.S. I'm also an excellent cook and could probably whip something up as long as I have the headroom to stand in the galley area, or a stool to sit on.

Re: Hello, Looking To Crew in Chicago

Hey there,

I'm totally free until Monday. I'm itching to get on a boat. Even if you live in Chicago and have a your boat at Winthrop or Hammond I'm ready to go if you can pick me up and bring me back. I live on Milwaukee, Grand and Halsted. My wife might wish to join us if yours is going along. I got my brand new blue and red Rockport deck shoes ready to go.
