New to sailing and forum

Hello all.

I am brand new (very basic knowledge) to the world of sailing, but I know it figures into my long term plans. My wife found these forums, and as no stranger to forums as information source, I thought I'd sign up.

I have a pretty far off learning/experience goal in mind, and figured I'd start off lurking, reading a lot and then asking questions once I even know what to ask and how.

Re: New to sailing and forum

Welcome to the forum.

I took the one week Basic Cruising course in July. I would start there, if you haven't already done it. Then get out on the water and practice what you learned.

Good luck and happy sailing.
