New. Ambitious. Like a Sponge.

Hello Sail Net Community!

Very to new to this online community and the world of sailing.

Can anyone recommend some great sailing books--manuals, non-fiction accounts, etc--that I can get my hands on to further my newfound obsession with sailing?

I'm seeking any recommendations and just want to provide myself with a basis of knowledge that will help me along my way.

Thank you!

TH

Trent,

Welcome!

Lots of good books out there, can you help narrow the field down a bit? What are your interests -- day sailing, racing, cruising?

Re: New. Ambitious. Like a Sponge.

As I am new, Day Sailing and ultimately Cruising would be what I am interested in.

I am currently planning on taking a week-long Bareboat Skipper course with goals of expanding my experience on my own or with those who I network with along the way.

As a personal goal--this may provide some insight--I want to entertain the possibility of living aboard full time as my lifestyle and career can accommodate such desires and goals.

Thank you.
