New on board. Glad to be here. Long time kayaker/sailer/low budget adventurer, Florida, Alaska, Canada. Does anyone have a line on a mid 70's vintage Allmand 23 HMS (they were dinky motorsailers)? Thanks. I live in North Florida, FYI.

Thanks for the welcome. So far travel by kayak mostly. I nave an old Pearson Packet (1964) that I've finally decided I will never get around to restoring, so Im looking a variety of trailerable 22 footers now. It's great to be dreaming of being under a full main again.

if i was into a trailerable vessel... have you looked into a MacGregor 26?

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm looking at an '80 San Juan 23 and an '85 Starwind 223 now. Do you or anyone have any thoughts on those? I live just off the St Johns river in FL and plan to overnight frequently, so I'm shooting for a little headroom. I think the Macgregor's cabin may be cut a little low for easy movement inside. Also any thoughts on balsa core long term durability?
