Novice Sailor and new owner of Santana 3030

Hi all;

New here and also the owner for one week of a Santana 3030 Abraxas (she is originally from Ventura but now in San Diego and I am the third owner.) I spent the summer learning to sail on a J24 and taking the US Sailing classes/certifications. Although I am new I hope to try a little racing in 2013 so I have lots to learn.

My experience beyond the J24 is in Catalina 22, 270, 30, 36, and 42 (yes I spent a small fortune in rentals almost every weekend this summer.) I also now have about nine hours on the Santana 3030 but some of that was spent trying to get the tiller out of my wife's hands... I am a bit manic about always trimming and so my wife wants to skipper and me to crew so that I can trim to my hearts content.

I look forward to learning from the group here and hope I can get some of my questions answered.

Welcome... You're a lucky guy to have a wife who's a keener. Nice boat too. Keep us posted on your adventures.
