New Sailor w/ 15' Bandit

Just bought my first sailboat 2 days ago and I am having a blast getting to know her. I have not taken it for a shake down yet, but I have gone over it many times getting to know the rig. I have identified all of the lines and managed to step the mast. I like simplicity, so I have simplified the rig by taking out all of the spinnaker equipment as well as the hiking straps. I will return the items as I progress.

My plan of attack for learning to sail was to start only with a main sail and work my way up to include the jib. However, the Bandit just happened to come with a roller furler, so I can leave the jib hooked up and unroll it when I am ready.

I am excited to get on the water as south Florida has no shortage of wind this time of year. Wish me luck.
