Newbies/wannabe liveaboards

My family and I live in Colorado but grew up by the ocean. We have a 25' Columbia. We are newbies, have been sailing on lake Pueblo for a few years. Would like to sell everything and live aboard possibly in or near Morro Bay CA. We are very serious and are trying to decide between a cutter or a ketch. We are also seriously considering a center cockpit. All help is appreciated.

Re: Newbies/wannabe liveaboards

Welcome to SailNet, Pappy.

You might want to peruse the liveaboard/cruising forum:

Cruising & Liveaboard Forum - SailNet Community

Many of your questions may already have been answered. There was a recent center cockpit thread that was started a few days ago that provides some pros and cons:

Are Centre Cockpits Good?

Good luck on your journey.
