New to the Art!
Good Morning! It has been along hard road to get here! Twenty years of dreaming became a reality for me this past a year. I shockingly found myself on the water, tiller and sheets in hand on my own boat. It was more than I could ever have imagined. I am new to sailing; but not new to sail. So many questions, so little time. I hope I can contribute something to this forum and learn, learn, learn. Best Regards to all in the New Year!

Re: New to the Art!
Thank you for the greetings Faster and Dale. The vessel is an Abbott 22 and will be spending a fair amount of time on the St. Mary's River with one eye always looking west Dale. ;)
Thanks Phil |
Re: New to the Art!

Re: New to the Art!
Dale: With water levels on the slide I might be wishing it was a trailer sailor. I have to admit I have been forever spoiled spending a fair amount of time up on Superior. Never by sail! I think the experience of Superior burns a place in your soul and leaves you longing for the return voyage. Is this enough boat? With a few adjustments and some proper planning. I think it might be. Will it be next year? I have a lot to learn and need a lot of direction. Just going to see how it goes. Something to work towards.
