Saying Hello from the Mid-Atlantic

Right around Atlantic City to be exact. We may have gotten hit hard by the Hurricane, but we are up and running again in the southern end of the state.

After 20+ years of not being on a boat (aside from a few charters) It was time to get back aboard. I grew with my parent's Grampian 23 (the rare fin keel version) and while I loved sailing her, I am a traditionalist, so a blooby glassfibre boat is not for me.

Two years ago I picked up a cheap GP14.. a nice little sailing/racing dinghy to re-learn the skills to make a sailboat go and now I am in the market for something 20ish feet that I can cruise and daysail in.

And while I cannot get you a discount or into a show.. if you ever decide to come to the Borgata in Atlantic City, let me know. I would love to meet people who care about sail boats as much as I do.

Welcome Art,

The GP 14' seems like an ideal boat for exploring the back bays of the NJ coast.

So is your GP 14 a woodie or a "blooby" composite one?

not much blob on an GP.. but mine is an older wooden one that is going to need some work this spring when things thaw.
