Hello! Time to explore!

Greetings everybody!

My girlfriend and I are planning on purchasing our first sailboat later this year (35-40ft cruiser). We've quit our office jobs in New York City and want to spend the next few years exploring the Caribbean and coasts of Central and South America if possible. This is a very exciting time for us and even though we've been lurking on the site for years, we thought it would be best to finally register and participate. We are going to be asking a lot of questions and seeking advice and crewing opportunities in the Florida area as soon as April. Looking forward to being a part of and contributing to this community!

Thanks,

Cody and Angela

Re: Hello! Time to explore!

Hi all,

Just wanted to update the community with great news: we've quit our jobs and left New York City. Headed to Florida to get some sailing experience! We've created a blog to chronicle the journey. We will be seeking crewing opportunities in the next few weeks and are very excited!

Re: Hello! Time to explore!

Just wanna say hi to everyone! I'm Rain. Well, I find your site interesting so I'm looking forward to learn new ideas and contribute in your community as well. Besides, I'm planning also to cruise with my family but I can't decide yet if what is the best place to go. This will be my first time and I'm getting excited.
