Hello All

New here so hello all!!!
As with many of you I'm here because I love the water and am planing a life long dream, very soon I hope. I have been down sizing for a few years now and love it. Currently live in a Rv full time but my goal is to get rid of that as well and live aboard my 23 ft Irwin and work my way up and down the ICW. I know a 23 ft??? might not be big enough for some but I'm a minimalist so should be fine. I truly be leave less is more!!! The boat is a tad bit unique as it's not a sailor anymore I have converted it to a river cruiser. I know the true sailors hate when a sailboat gets defaced and I totally respect that but I truly love a sailboat just don't know what to do with one when the sail is up, so please don't hate me for that....LOL. The input and post on this site are awesome and is very apparent it's from people with the same passion I have so i welcome any and all of your advise. Thanks and sail on.....

Re: Hello All

Welcome aboard! So are you plannig on redoing the Irwin , & if so how? Will you sail her or use the iron jib? Comming from a RV has got to be an advantage, your used to tight!....Dale

Hey and hope all is well on your end. I will post some pics in the next few days. But a quick "what i have done" is removed the mast and am solely powered by a 20 hp outboard on a bracket. I had a mini tower built over the cabin area which is roughly 5' tall and on top is a little mini trampoline lay out area and below that is where i keep my kayak. It's definitely been a plus coming from the RV.

23' is big enough. Not big, but big enough. My wife and i and assorted dogs have been doing it every summer for the last five years.
