Summer dry storage needed for 21-footer on trailer

I have a Venture 21 on a trailer that I'm hoping to sail in Raritan Bay this summer, and am hoping to find a place to keep it that isn't too far from Raritan. Unfortunately, being relatively new to New Jersey (and to sailing), I don't know where to even begin looking and was hoping someone on here could point me in the right direction.

Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated.

Ideally, I'm thinking launching from the public ramp in Keyport, NJ is my best bet, but again, and hints or tips would be welcome.

Thanks!

Hi Fish,

It's been a long time since I was dragging my sunfish trailer around those parts, but I recall a marinas on either side of the road as you came across the Amboy Rd. bridge into Keyport. On Google, it looks like they are called Brown's Point and Keyport Marine. Perhaps they could provide dry storage. If you wanted something closer to Raritan, you could try the self storage operations. A lot of them offer boat/trailer storage.

I liked poking around on the Navesink and Shrewsbury rivers a little farther east - I had access through a friend's property, which made it easy to get a sunfish in there, but with your more substantial vessel, you could launch at Leonardo State Marina or Atlantic Highlands and then go around under the Route 36 bridge.

Go to maps.google.com
search for Raritan, NJ
click on the marker
click on "search nearby"
search for "boat storage"

Dozens of different places come up. Start making phone calls.
