Hello from Jacksonville, FL

Ahoy all,
In process of purchasing a 1984 Morgan 384 in great condition. Been on the hard for 4 years. Interested in contacting mainly other Morgan 38 owners, but will be good to hear from other cruisers intent on seasonal passages to/from Bar Harbor, Maine area. Currently getting boat ready for wet survey. Curious about finding a component of the dinette table (removable dish and flatware rack) for this boat. A drawing of original part would be great, so I could reproduce it. Thanks for the assistance!
Rick

Hi, I’m not a current Morgan owner (family had one and I’ve looked at a few), have you tried the Morgan Boat owner lists? Also, if the boat has been on the hard that long, check the engine mounts, replace the exhaust and fuel lines, have the diesel tank polished, and refurb the fuel filter.

P.S. You do realize sailing in Maine is beautiful but cold, even in the summer. You might want to put a line cutter on your shaft before launch. If you have a 1” prop shaft, I might have a new cutter (that I didn’t put on my Cal 2-30 up in Rockland, Maine before selling it).

Thanks for the tips, Julia! I am guessing you are located in the great Northeast. My folks were born and raised there, and we have a small summer place at Hancock Pt. near Ellsworth. I can't remember what the shaft size is, but I might be interested in the cutter. I'm quite familiar with the lobster buoy issue. Typically you can walk across the bay on the buoys! Last year, they were less numerous. Is a Mariner 39 a trawler/cruiser? Have a good day!

I might be interested in your line cutter.
