irwin 37 steering problem

have a 37 that needs constant corrections .especially under powes .not as bad under sail .but still a pain.wondering if it is inherent to the breed or somthing there is a cure for.. boat is equipped with hydraulic steering.

It is inherent to the boat under power. Under sail she should have a light touch except hard on the wind. If that is what you are describing then everything is normal.

The Irwin 37 is know for it's spongy steering. I have the same problem under way with engine.
