74 Irwin 32 CC Capabilities

Good afternoon from chilly Southern Indiana. I would like to ask if anyone can advise the capability of the early 70's 32 Center Cockpit as a Caribbean cruiser. I'm in the market for a center cockpit boat for that very perpose and there are a couple available for resonable $. Will be mostly single handing and sometimes one other person.

You might want to define reasonable $$. Generally, CC's don't work that well on that short of a boat.

The one's I've seen for sale recently are in the middle teens and have plenty of room for me. I'd like to spend most of my time in the caribbean and don't mind doing a little fixing up. One of them is linked below. Thanks for the reply.
