Irwin 41 engine removal

Considering repowering the perkins 4.154, but looks like Irwin built the boat around the engine. Has anyone been able to do this without a chain saw?

If it is necessary to cut the engine out it would not be the first time I have seen this done.

See this thing? It cost 10 grand just to cut the hole and pluck the busted up engine out. 10 grand.
