Irwin Pedestal steering

I have an 82 Citation 31' with pedestal steering. The custom shell is breaking at the base and rendering the assembly unsafe. Anyone know of how best to repair?

Pedestal Repair

I have an Irwin 37CC and I am sure Irwin built the pedestals special for all their boats. Your only choice will be to rebuild the one you have. I had to rebuild mine due to cockpit sole delaminating due to plywood core rot (which made my pedestal wobble worse). I removed the pedestal, took it home and re-fiberglassed it from the inside. I then I painted it with Awlgrip and it looks better than new. A good site for such things is Irwin Owners Group
I will try to add some pictures this week but next week we are off on the Baja HA-HA and won’t have WiFi until Nov 1st.

I second that...Irwin built most things in house...should be a simple rebuild job.

Relationships are everything to me..everything else in life are just tools to enhance them.

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.
