The Wife and I are on a Island Packet hunt. I do not want to deal with yacht brokers. We are looking for sale buy owner.
We are looking for an older IP 38'-44' with a sugar scoop transom.
West coast preferred but will travel for the right boat.
Any leads, dock talk, please forward me a pm.
IPs over 200k are out of our budget

If you're set on having a scoop transom, then you need to look at the three digit boats (380, 420, 440, etc). The older models with two digit names have flat transoms. To get 38' (LOD vs LOA), you'll need to start with the 420 (the 380 is just under 40' overall, but that includes a few feet of bowsprit)

While I don't have a direct lead for you, why don't you try a post over on the IP owners' board (http://www.iphomeport.com/forum/)? There's even a boat wanted section there where you can post your request.
