islander 36 electric propulsion

Is the member who used a forklift motor and controller with an Islander 36 still here and active?

I am trying to convert my islander to electric propulsion with as much diy parts as possible...

shipping to el salvador is really expensive for heavy stuff so any info for the oddbal conversion or out of state(country) advise is much welcomed

thanks so much

Copy a golf cart. Its local. Use two of their motors to get over 7 kilowatts of power.
