Winch

I have an Islander 28 and I need to rebuild the winch on my mast. The only name I can find on the winch is Merrimam O Holbrook. Can anybody assist me on finding on this winch. Thanks.

Tartan34C will become famous soon enough
They are out of business and parts are hard to come by. If itís old enough it might be a ďTop ActionĒ winch which is an older design and not as safe as a modern winch. If it is that old you might just consider replacing it instead of trying to rebuild it. Do you have any reason to suspect you need parts or do you just need to clean and lubricate it?
All the best,
Robert Gainer
