Islander Yachts Employees? Freeport 41

We'd like to get in touch with any former Island Yachts employee to get a statement that the Islander Freeport 41 was manufactured by Islander Yachts for purposes of getting the boat documented by the Coast Guard. Any help will be appreciated. The only Islander person I knew personally was Buster Hammond who is no longer with us. Thanks in advance.

I always thought that the hull id # contained the manufacturer's ID. The Coast Guard should have some kind of a registry.

Hi, I was an employee with Islander Yachts from 1972 through 1978. I worked on the Freeport 41 line from it's first hull until I left to go to work for Pacific Seacraft in 1978. I can confirm that the Freeport 41 was producted by Islander Yachts. I noticed that your posting was a few months old, but I hope this helps.

Steve,
I have recently published a site with the URL of islander28.com
I would really, really like to converse with you about several subjects. Could you please drop a note tome here: islander28 @ centurytel.net (take out the spaces)
Thanks in advance, Wayne Eastman

Steve!!

Steve Noland,

Hey, i saw your post regarding the islander series.
I was wondering if you have any literature or information on the 1978 islander 41' ketch (50' LOA)
It is the biggest ketch in the series.
I have just purchased one and i cannot find any info on them, especially my model. its like they never existed.
Let me know if you can shed some light on this mystery.

Thanks,
Spencer
