Time for new site?

Should we just give up on that site and move on with a new one? I will offer to host it, and if we get the content from the old site sometime in the future it can be added in.
I never saw the old site, but my family bought an '84 I30 last summer and I'm a computer guy with server space to spare. Always looking to learn more about the boat stuff so I'll donate my time, server space, and bandwidth for info on our boat and to help other islander owners. PM me on here if you think this is worthwhile and if i get decent response ill throw together a beta site.

I could not PM you not enough posts. I dropped another email to Brian Soderberg the owner of IslanderSailboats.com. The info he has is invaluable, history and specs for the entire islander line. he also had a database of owners. will let you know if I hear from him

blt2ski will become famous soon enough
That is good news for Islander owners. If Eric can not figure out how to host the site, you might contact Eileen whom is "IYCNW" earlier in this thread, as Doug has stuff he donated to the original site too. They might be able to host it on there site.

Kent, being as you only have 7 posts, you should do a post 8, post9, now 10 so you can pm folks. Otherwise, do some sort of shorthand for you email online, ie for me, not that I own an islander, but could get you in touch with Doug and Eileen from the NW site, doug is speed dial 72 on my cell phone. blt2ski at hotmail dot com This will usually keep the auto puter looking for emails on websites etc.

thanks for the offers on the web servers. Erin said it should not be a problem. Brian is sending me a disk with the info on it, will probably take a while to get. We will still be able to use Islandersailboats.com, and I would like this to become THE islander web site. Brian started to do some good stuff and I would like to carry it further.
