pvc in through hulls

The survey on my 79 Islander says it has pvc fitting into thru hulls. On inspection I found grey elbows etc, I'm assuming these were factory installed. Has anyone found the same thing and have you replaced them or have any of these failed.

I have a grey plastic part, also an elbow, and I think it is as old as the boat, 20years. Seems to be fine. I am in the process of replacing some plastic thruhulls because the survey said there was a concern. After fighting like crazy to get them out I determined there was no problem they just looked rough after years in the Florida sun.

So while I think the plastic is fine I am considering replacing more so that it matches the new ones than thinking there is anything wrong with it.

It has no cracks of visual signs of problems.

my 1982 IB30 has marelon thruhulls and ballvalves,( RC Marine ),
standard and "bullet proof".
