What year was your Islander manufactured? Did you get your scanned manual? I have the manual for my '84 Islander Bahama 30 that I can duplicate if need be.

I'm looking for information from anyone who has rebuilt the cabin sole of an Islander Bahama 30. I'm looking to purchase a boat that has delamination issues on the cabin sole and possibly rot issues below in the floor frame.

Does this floor frame run beneath the settees, cabinets, etc.?

Is it wood or fiberglass?

Any pictures or info regarding the compression post substructure on the B30?

Mine seemed to have some flexing of the wood that spanned the hull under the floor where the compression post sat. Not sure if someone had overtightened the stays or if it was just age. The surveyor just said it was something to keep an eye on and I have been and it has not changed.
