I'd love to see photos. This is how my '75 is configured, though the tank is about 3.5 gallons.

I almost lost a chain plate last night (port side due to rot), so I have a little work to do. I'm particularly interested in how you reinforced the chain plates and what you found in the cabin sole. My cabin top appears to be crushed around the mast and the sole appears to have a slight depression.
