new owner of an i36

hey all

i'm the new owner of a 1982 islander 36. it's my first and i'm loving it. my boat is fairly simple, almost as it came from the factory. would love to get some insight on the boat from other owners as i've got lots of projects on the list.

Dude,

I have an I-28. 1976 vintage. Great boat. Not the same as yours but I have done many mods and will be glad to share ideas if you are considering something similar to what I have done to Tundra Down.

You have a GREAT boat! Enjoy!

Dude,

Congrats on you new pride and joy! The Islander 36 is a great boat and you will get years of joy from her if you take care of her.

You know, I think you might get more replies if you can be more specific. What sort of insights interest you? Maintenance? Mods? Upgrades? Specific equipment? Sailing techniques that work well with the 36? Common failure points? Sails? Let us know!

Regards,

Tom

Pretty, roomy, well behaved boats. A close friend has a pristine example, she's a beauty.
