Looking for a good place to...

Put a boat on the south shore of the lake. Preferably between Huron and the Cuyahoga? We live in North Olmsted. Any ideas?

There's Harbor North in Huron, I looked into Rack Storing my powerboat there and thought it was a nice place.

In Lorain there is Spitzer Marinas and also Lorain Sailing Club.

Vermilion has a couple of choices.

Take a drive along the lake and you'll find plenty of marinas.

The Cleveland Boat Show is the middle of January and most marinas will have booths there.

When I lived in Strongsville ('79-'80-'81) I kept my boat in Vermillion. Can't remember the name of the exact place. Must admit I like the southern Caribbean a lot better tho!!

i used to tow my Mac 26 up to Erie twice a month. I preferred Sandusky Bay because if its too rough to go out into the lake you can Still Sail on the Bay or go to Cedar Point.

A few of my friends who docked In Huron or Vemillion spent many weekends tied to the dock because they didnt want to go out in rough conditions. Even if the Lake get rough, its a lot easier to sneak out of Sandusky or surf back in.

Good Luck..

Lakeside marina in cleveland is very nice. Also if you wouldn't mind a bit of an extra drive, and are on a budget meinke marina in curtis oh is the cheapest place i have found on the whole lake and the family that runs the place is extremely nice. Thats where i am now,
