Penetang to Killarney ( and back)

Next Wed. we head out for 12 days up to Killarney and back. Can't promise many videos. but will take lots of pictures and post them when I get back.

We'll be headed up the East side of Georgian Bay and spend a few days in Baie Fine and then head back. No real schedule except to be back to work Mon 17th.

Anyone in the area give us a shout.

Patrick, if you're around I'll keep it in mind as we're returning that weekend. Will depend on whether we go through Sat or Sun, time of day and whether we're on the inside channel or outside.

If it works out I'll stick my nose in.

I was thinking of you when we had planned to go through Killarney for fish & chips and pump out / restock. Unfortunatly we got as far as the Bustards, sat out a day in the pouring rain, t-storms and hail on Sunday 8th. Decided to head back south with lousy weather for two days and then good weather the rest of the week and light winds. Didn't make sense to sit in Baie Fine in rain etc. and then push to get back home in hot, light wind days. Will hopefully try again next year.

Yes, when it comes to Georgian Bay you "go with the flow". I never keep firm plans. At anchor a few times while enjoying ourselves and the scenery the weather dictates go now or we won't be back for Monday morning. (I always vote for staying put) But what a cra--y summer we have had for sure. We just came back from four days down Collins inlet with the plan of restocking again at the home port then going to Frazer and Baie Finn. Didn't make it as well. I have loaded and unloaded gear up and down the docks and pulled the pin too many times in the pouring rain this summer.

Yeah, I won't try to run it down again until next summer...

We started off with Baie Fine in mind but had open plans in the back of our mind..... needed to wind down more than push hard.

BTW, I could have sworn the charts spell it Baie Fine, but I know a lot of people that refer to it as Finn.

Yes all the locals say "bay finn" as in a fish finn. Talking about boats bumping into one another, someone thought it would be fun to see what happens if they untie the "Play Fair" in the night. That's the big fishing boat tied at the town docks directly across from me. It was discovered floating free and only just a few yards from drifting into Victoria. Some joke!
