It's been quiet in here.... plans for the summer???

Wow, everyones gone into deep hibernation. Spring has sprung, temps are hitting close to 18 deg. C, its almost launch time, whats everyones plans for this summer.

Last year we didn't quite make it to the North Channel, but sure needed the downtime by only doing a shorter cruise. This year we plan to get up to Baie Fine again and explore a bit more of the area.

Welsch is planning a 2-3 week trip arond Manitoulin and we expect nothing short of Imax 3D film production on return ....

Whats everyone else up to... any big plans????

If we sell the house, we'll head south and never see the Great Lakes again. If not, we might head to the N Channel early July.

We'll be coming from Grand Haven on L. MI and spending July in the North Channel.

Retiring the end of May, heading to the North Channel the first part of July, will be heading home when we want to, not when we have to!

We're looking for the best deal on a Gemini 105Mc, to be bought in either the SE USA, or somewhere down the Caribbean from here. We are pretty excited about the prospect of buying a boat and sailing it home.

In the meantime, we are booking a charter in the BVI just to keep in practice with them big floppy sheets and ropes and stuff.

Paul,
Great to hear you're retiring and able to spend lots of time on your boat. I hope you and Jane have a great summer. Life Is Good. Kathy and I will be up to the NC at least once or twice on Good Idea. We'll listen for you on Cruiser's Net.
