Not a lot of action here on the Great Lakes section of SailNet, but thought I'd start a thread anyway.

We're shoving off on Monday (6/7/10) to start our journey to the North Channel, weather permitting. You can follow our adventure on our blog at Sailing s/v Island Bound

Hope to see a few of you SailNetters in the North Channel when we arrive!

Have a great trip. First time? There are thousands of wonderful places to explore in the North Channel. How long are you staying? If you're there July 1 and onward, listen in to the Cruiser's Net at 9:00 on Ch 71. It's based in Little Current. We plan to make the first of two or three trips up in late June. We'll listen for you on the radio.

No action in here because we're still waiting for the ice to melt.... :D

As of Jun. 3, 21:06 EST, we intend to head up to Killarney and Baie Fine first two weeks of August, but is subject to change in our plans, ideas and the weather.

How long do you plan on being up there?

Last trip up was two years ago. Check my posts below for pics and reports on the 2-3 days of warm weather..... :D ;)

Summer is already over in that part of the world!!!!! Enjoy your adventure, it's a great cruising ground. Watch out for the poison ivy. If you run into any mechanical problems or need a place to tie up for the night while in Little Current, check out Boyle Marine...great people and facilities. Happy sails.
