Quiet in here.....

Seasons over, did our last sail / anchor last weekend and out the boat comes.

12 weeks to the Toronto Boat Show ( like it or not it's a mid-season distraction ) and then 14-16 weeks to launch

What did everyone do this year. Any big trips, little trips or just float around...

Last Sat. at Beckwith... only ones out there...

We hauled out the thursday before thanksgiving, so you have me to thank for the great weather. If we'd stayed in, it would have snowed.

We took a course through 30,000 Island Sailing Adventures (out of Killbear Marina). We spent a week sailing around Shawanaga, Killbear and that area. Great course. I'm now have my Intermediate Skipper qualification, so look out!

After we finished the course we took my boat up to the Benjamins and went as far as Gore Bay.

Other than that, seeing as I didn't launch until the after Canada Day, the season seemed really short. The weather in September was pretty brutal (until I hauled out anyway).

Good to hear on the Cert.

Missed being up Thanksgiving, didn't work for everyone, so went to Goderich overnight instead.

We were in Shawanaga Aug. 2,3 on our way up to Baie Fine and again Aug. 11,12 on our way down. Stayed in the bay just behind Josephine Rocks. Had this guy land and come through and stopped at the beach...

The summer was short for me as after a night and day with high SW winds anchored in Fox Harbour I foolishly decided I could break out the anchor myself ! The result? A compressed fracture of a vertebrae! End of sailing for a couple of months. BUT until then it was great tucking into our favorite haunts.

I recognize The Pool but not quite the other 2. We went down into the Pool, but found it too weedy, so stayed out in the Baie. We like to swim as much as possible so couldn't imagine staying there, even with the memories from 25 some years ago.

The first photo is McTavish Island the second in Perch Bay on the north side behind Hotham Island. This was the first time we had been to the Pool for 5 years and it was weedy but the anchor set well. I dove on the prop after we had anchored and removed the weed that had collected. We enjoyed our stay as we do enjoy walking the trails in the park and always have a map with us. On our hike to Cave Lake we saw a bear with 2 cubs,very exciting!
We covered the boat this afternoon and can you believe it,it snowed here in Little Current

OK - I just looked at google maps. How does one get a boat of that size on that lake?
