Smile Nice places/beaches around Kingston and Thousand Islands?

I sail around the Kingston area. I'm quite new to the area... and know of a couple good anchoring spots (Cedar Island and Milton Island).

I'm wondering where are some nice beaches around here that would be ok to anchor, etc.

Re: Nice places/beaches around Kingston and Thousand Islands?

We are planning on a couple of weeks this coming July around the Thousand islands. Active captain is giving me a number of ideas of potential anchorages but I am concerned about traffic and noise, especially on the weekends. We would be looking for seclusion mainly, so any ideas would be appreciated!

Not a lot of traffic on this board! Just found it myself!

We're also planning on visiting the Thousand Islands late-July/August 2014, heading up from Montreal. Any suggestions appreciated.

Try Canoe-Picnic Point State Park - NYS Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation. South east of Gananoque.

Latitude 44.303235192800003
Longitude -76.074361520400004

Cleanest waters I have ever seen. Just on the US side.
