Patagonia & Antarctica pics and travel log
Perhaps this is not the correct spot for this post. I am not in any way affiliated with Rocna anchors but Craig Smith from NZ has created a great website detailing their trip to Pat. & Ant. with AMAZING pictures you should all see, since most of us will not likely got there.
Patagonia Photo Journal (1)
Interestingly there is quite a bit of anchoring by tying to boulders on the rocky shores as well as using their anchor.
After the reading I have done on the area I am not surprised at how inventive they had to be when stabilizing their boat for the night.
Take your time and browse through ALL the pages on both Patagonia & Antarctica as it is a good waste of time, for those who have it.
Full disclosure: I stumbled upon this link at another forum and was (of course) not there when the pics where taken, nor have I ever been there except in my mind from my comfortable couch.
Enjoy.
PS - the reason this post may belong here is because the southern latitudes require certain attitudes to actually contemplate such a venture. L&A members may be put off by the naked penguins and skuas but there are no bikinis to be seen in any of this.
