Atleast if you build your own boat you know it is solid!

Re: 1st dinghy

I might suggest getting some rides in other peoples boats. Most sailors are friendly and would like to help you get started. All boats are a compromise. You will want to know what you will enjoy before you spend many hours and dollars on a project.
Kind Regards, Lou

Re: 1st dinghy

that's a decent entry price, you might consider scavenging for a laser, it seems there's always one floating around in someones yard (anywhere near water, 200,000+ boats built) who is using it for a garden but would rather have it out of there yard,

My aunt got my first laser, someone was literally loading it up at the yacht club to haul to the dump, sailed it for over 10 years till I became addicted to racing
