Learning to sail in Los Roques, Venezuela

Hi-
My husband and i really wanna learn to sail in the gorgous looking waters of Los Roques (Venezuelan islands in the south of the Caribbean).
Does anyone know of any instructors down there or have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ali

Ali, the waters are gorgeous there but there is very, very ''there'' there. The normal sailboat in those waters, which is limited to a maximum # of days by Park folks unless the boat tries to hide, usually means boat leave Porlamar, Isla de Margarita, sail via the downwind islands thru the Roques and then Aves, and then return to civilization in the Dutch Antilles. If you are extra keen on sailing in those waters, you might want to use sailing BB''s to try and contact a yacht on which you could crew for that run. You might also contact Juan and Marina Juan in Porlamar, who could possibly hook you up with a boat headed that way.

Good luck!

Jack
