anyone in lehigh valley area?

So I just bought my first boat, an 1979 O'day 23
in great condition, but needing just a hint of TLC.
I've had the bottom sanded back and painted, I've re bedded all the hull penetrations, my word, what a thankless job!!!!
Now, I've never actually sailed anything bigger than a hobby cat
I plan to take lessons on Nockamixon, but was wondering if there is anyone in the area who could take a quick "peak" at the boat before she gets shrink wrapped as to anything that needs "fixing"?
I will stand you lunch and a beer for your trouble, lol
Really just want to a knowing eye over her. I think I got a great boat at a decent enough price, which did not justify a survey.
Any valley sailors out there?

So post more! I can't promise that I know much more than you. But I'm probably "better than nothing".

I'm up at wallenpaupack... the season is coming to a close soon for us... probably for you folks as well... but I'll help if I am around (my weekends are tossed until Nov).

My boat is coming out in another week or so.

shnool @ yahoo let me know if there is something I can do for ya. I am in East Stroudsburg.

Should you shrink wrap a sailboat? The inside will get allot of condensation is my guess! Oday 23 Going to sail on toxiAmixin? ew! At least you can see fish in the Delaware River LOL

Just assumed it's what I had to do for the winter?
I did plan on a putting a bucket of ice melt in the cabin(absorbs water) and the anti mold packs to keep it fresh. Cushions won't be left on board.

Re: anyone in lehigh valley area?

I would be happy to help out but will not be in the area until Christmas. I used to Windsurf on Nockamixon 25 years ago. Now I mountain bike there when I am in the area.

Re: anyone in lehigh valley area?

Any of you guys around the valley Saturday sometime?
I plan on getting some more done this week, and am starting to wind down ready for the winter cover up, Which after reading about, I think will be a tarp, not shrink wrap now
