oh no. the way they sail on the bay they all appear to have had too much grog already........or is that the fuel used to make sailboats sail? sometimes there are so many I wonder how they keep from bonking into each other.....maybe its the grog

I would strongly recommend.
A basic entry level course from a established local sailing school.
It doesn't matter which school.
The advantage of a recognised course is they cover all the basics. parts of the boat gear sails what they are called and how they work.
after having done a basic course you can get more expierience sailing with other sailors.

and that is exactly what I am gonna do. Thanks, just have to finger out which school now

I smell a troll.

In any event, if you want to learn to "drive" a sailboat, I suggest you head back east. Here in the Bay Area, we "sail" our boats.

chuckle.....I am west coast 100%, went out there once and that was enough. No, gonna do what you guys have suggested and take a basic sailing course in the bay area. The school north of the GG was recommended but was wondering about Treasure island. Gonna look and see if there are schools there I can go to.
