Offshore courses (e.g. ASA 108) taught on catamaran?

Hi everyone,

This nautically obsessed member is interested in taking the ASA 108 offshore passagemaking class. However, I want to do it on a catamaran. Does anyone know of a school that does that? Of course, I could go through the list in ASA's web site:

http://www.asa.com/offshore_celestial_schools.html

However, last time I checked with ASA about which schools offer the 114 class (catamaran), I got a partial list from them - many ASA 114 schools I looked up on Google weren't even listed. So I can't trust their lists to include everything.

It doesn't have to be an ASA certification, by the way, or taught somewhere in the USA (though both would be nice).

Thanks,
Iraklis

Try OCSC in Berkeley, CA. They have a Gemini 105 in their fleet. Can't say as to whether or not they teach the class you want in it, though.

Of course, since they have a cat in their fleet, you can always ask if they could teach on that boat for your course.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
