Keeldragger, is that really you in the videos????

Is that a lake?? no waves...

I think if you did that over here, with our seas, you would be "dead" by now..

Sailormon6 will become famous soon enough
Keeldragger, from the video, you appear to me to be a pretty good racing sailor. You clearly know how to sail in light air, and I thought you showed skill when you drove the boat especially high, to pass a couple boats to windward.

Tomas would have to lose his attitude before I'd want to sail with him. I thought you handled him well. You let him play the prima donna role without losing your own cool, but you didn't let him intimidate you from gybing when you needed to gybe.

With the exception of Tomas, the rest of your crew looked like they were having fun.

resdog is on a distinguished road
Personally, I think Keeldragger's videos are hilarious. That looks pretty typical of small club racing in the midwest that has everyone in the club out on the lake - whether they know what they're doing or not. Some boats are serious and others go out and drink and have fun because they know they're not going to be anywhere near the front boats. The big thing is that they are out there giving it a try. You can learn a lot about light air sailing during a race on a sweltering hot day with little wind. The first being you need to have a lot of beer on board with plenty of ice, and don't forget the BBQ grill.
