Good post. thanks. One of the fist things I am working on is to organize the running rigging. I have to get 2 new winches (amonst other things) and this really explains to me where and why I need to place them.

for some reason the two cabin winches on my R24 were in front of cleats. I was like, huh? I guess clutches are relatively new eh? I wanna replace the worn plastic cleats with clutches anyway, guess I'll be moving the winches as well. epoxy>

You could always have NO winches like mine, just cleats. Ya better be quick to set the Genoa after a tack or you'll be cussing all day. I aim to change that as soon as I figure out a place to put 'em.
