Good Show...........

Alex, your videos are fantastic! And who are you to tell us how to sail? Well, as they say, the proof is in the pudding.

Don't worry about the accent; it adds spice, and is easily understood.

As to the person complaining about not seeing this, or too much that. Yea Alex, with a budget of $50,000 that's all you could produce?????? Shame on you. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!

Keep up the good work; and thank you for your time and effort! Both of those videos did a very god job of illustrating complex concepts in an easily understood fashion, and in a second language to boot!

Fred

Anyway, I think the videos are more usefull than my stupid clownish photoshoping.[/QUOTE]

Hey, no rush...these are works of art and can't be hurried! My suggestions were just that: suggestions. But if you are aiming these videos at people who are beyond the beginning stages and want to improve, focusing on the mainsheet controls is a good place to start. As I discussed with you on the phone, nobody seems to know what a Cunningham line is for these days, yet most boats still have them.

And yes, they are much more useful than the Photoshopping.

Alex - Wonderful work! I do television and DVD production for a living, so I can definitely appreciate the amount of time you have put into these. I've seen other sailing instructional videos produced by "professionals" that were not able to convey similar concepts with such ease.

We are currently developing our own recreational boating Internet TV network - basically, a site that will have dozens of "channels" of free streaming video for various boating TV shows, documentaries, videos, etc. Of course, we'll have a "Sailing Instruction Channel". If you are interested, we can talk about creating a "Giulietta Instructional Videos" channel.

And for all you other budding Spielbergs, we will have a "Home Movie" channel, too. I'll keep you posted (no pun intended...).

That's great Alex. I'll send you a PM. BTW, did you see that our young Yank Freddy Adu scored again - this time the match winner for Benfica? OK, he's no Cristiano Ronaldo, but he has potential...

Unlike you Moonfish...our Mr Giu prefers to rant about the superiority of Portuguese sailing, wine, navigation, history, culture, boat building etc. .... all of which are tough arguments. (g) Indeed, the delusional Mr. G prefers to overlook the one thing that Portagees everywhere are justifiably proud of...their soccer (football) heritage and current glory! Not content to simply ignore this aspect of Portagee life himself...he presses he poor family into his miscreant sailing life and has his son dreaming of fleeting Olympic SAILING glory instead of a lucrative Premiere League contract! Oh will this never end Giu....remember the CHILDREN!!

Damn straight Paul! We'll just have to clear out a little spot where the Portagee is currently discussing backstays or something that, in any event, can wait.
